Julie

Program Coordinator

juliec@reps.com.au

A former participant in REPS programs, I have seen first-hand how extremely helpful having assistance with getting back into the workforce can be. Mature-aged jobseekers, parents and carers can be going through many challenges with accepting that even though you have been in the workforce for a long time, or if you have been focused on bringing up the family and not in the workforce, there is still a need to update your skills to keep up with technology and changes in the workplace. It can be a very confusing time having to start again, and many people find that having someone to assist them through this is a whole lot easier than doing it alone. It can be hard to keep up with what is current and relevant with so many changes in technology and use of the internet. Through the programs provided by REPS, participants gain valuable knowledge of how best to present their resume, cover letters and assistance with current application processes. There is also the option of current accredited training which provides those who have had limited work experience, the option of gaining work in the retail sector or add to previous work experience and skills.
It is a very rewarding experience when you see someone achieve their goals, they re-gain confidence and self worth, whether it is going on to further training or gaining employment after going through the programs.

Janine

Training Manager

janinec@reps.com.au

In my role as Training Manager at REPS I facilitate the Job Preparation program which involves training in such areas as:
• Marketing documentation (Resumes, cover Letters)
• Interview Techniques
• Addressing Selection Criteria
• Personality Profiling
• Job market trends
• Further Training Options
• Workplace effective practices
• Skills analysis
• Personal action plans

My background of varied industry experience and qualifications has equipped me well to teach Job Preparation. Due to my husband’s career I had to re-establish myself each time we moved and this meant writing many job applications and going to interviews. My management background has meant that I have an understanding of what employers are looking for, whilst my ongoing professional development has kept me current with job market trends. My aim is to deliver information that is current, relevant and objective and to provide a professional service that produces results for both employers and jobseekers.
